In conjunction with the Curtiss Mansion and Smithsonian Institution’s Water/Ways exhibit, come meet former “balseros” and “marielitos” and hear their compelling true personal stories of how they sought a new life of freedom from suppression by braving the perils of the Florida Straits. English and Spanish translation will be provided.
